The poet Ka returns to Turkey after twelve years of exile in Germany. Recruited by an Istanbul newspaper, he plans to investigate the suicide of young veiled women in Kars. In this border town, where the Islamist party seems about to win the municipal elections, Ka also hopes to find the beautiful Ípek, who has just divorced. The snow falling on Kars, blocking all access to the outside, makes the theater of all possible.
