PODCAST MACABRE 2025 12. 1940s not seen + 2025 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE Week 42: Zombie Week Perhaps the most leisurely-paced film to ever have "ZOMBIE" in the title, this is really more of a gothic romance with an anthropological take on both Haitian voodoo and the historical inhumanity of the Atlantic slave trade that *almost* excuses the implicit early-40s racism. Never quite tips all the way into what we'd think of as horror for the era, but an interesting watch nonetheless.
