a review of 奥拉克之手

ℍ𝕆𝕆ℙ𝕋𝕆𝔹𝔼ℝ 𝔼𝕃𝔼𝕍𝔼ℕ ℕ𝕀𝔾ℍ𝕋 𝕋𝕎𝔼ℕ𝕋𝕐-𝕊𝕀𝕏: Aside from the elaborate-looking train crash set at the very beginning, I found the first hour or so of this one to be pretty ponderous, with lots of broad dramatic mugging and characters walking verrry slowly across rooms. The plot doesn't really kick in until the last 40 minutes, and even then all of the most exciting revelations happen about 5 minutes from the end. I wish the movie had maybe done a little more with the idea that maybe Orlac always had it somewhere in his nature to kill, and that the dodgy hand transplant merely served as a vehicle to bring those thoughts to life. But as it is the film's take on morality is pretty black and white and neatly wrapped up in the end, with the real killer found and apprehended instead of our main character.
