You need to be clued in about who you're seeing on screen to have a hope of understanding what this is about. Does the mixing of nonfiction and fiction work? In the end, you do feel an emotional hit, but you are aware of how this was produced in you by the tragic story and the real-life account. It's not clear to me whether an emotion which is created is or isn't a real emotion, that has value. The acting and cinematography was of a high standard and I feel like it accomplished what the director must have had in mind.
