HOOPTOBER ORIGINS 2.0 NIGHT FIVE: I kinda wish that this one had gone just a little bit weirder and wilder with the concept, which feels at times like a Gen Z take on Tracy Letts' BUG crossed with EIGHTH GRADE. It's thankfully less harrowing than the former (the main character is a kid after all) but it also doesn't feel quite as insightful as the latter, in spite of the appealing lead performance by newcomer Anna Cobb, mostly acting against herself, performing directly into a webcam.
