𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖕𝖙𝖔𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖝 𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖔𝖓𝖊: The main reason to see this one is to watch Crowe make a meal out of playing a level 20 chaotic good cleric in the middle of a fairly competent cover-band version of The Exorcist, which for some reason is set inside a crumbling, muck-infested dungeon left over from an Argento movie. The single mom/two kids family that Crowe is trying to help occasionally seems like they're in a different movie altogether, an impression that is not dispelled when they all literally get in their car and drive away with 20 minutes left on the clock. As others have noted, the third act is fairly bonkers in its execution, to the point where I wondered how much of it was actually adapted from Father Amorth's memoirs (I'm guessing not very much?) and what was the screenwriters just having a field day imagining a buddy-cop exorcist movie.
