2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 24: NAZISPLOITATION WEEK Arguably the most seriously-intended film on this week's list, I was surprised at how low-key it was in its depiction of the relationship between its leads. I'd expected something much more shocking given the film's reputation; It's not just that the most transgressive content feels maybe a bit quaint now, but that the movie is more interested in the Nazis-in-hiding intrigue than in untangling the connection between Rampling and Bogarde. I may have to give this one another try at some point, but I found it kind of confounding on the first watch.
