On an 8.5 hour flight with nothing but time to spare, I found it to be about 20-or-so minutes too long. The cast is great and nails everything they're given to work with - all the actors absolutely deserve the praise they're receiving - but there's just too much of it. All of it. They (the Daniels now, not the actors) just kept cramming idea after idea into this thing, as if they were trying to out-clever each other, but not all of it landed for me so I was left wishing some of it wasn't there. If the things I didn't love were left out, would everyone that loved the movie as much as they did still love it just as much? I don't know, man, I kinda think they would. There's a great movie to be found in here for sure, but its excesses are a bit excessive, and the parts I liked most were just drowned out by the noise surrounding it - a very pretty to look at noise, but noise nonetheless. Too Much of Too Many Things for A Little Too Long
