MANNVANUARY DEUX #12: Another great one that had never tripped my radar before; Dick Powell makes a terrifically sardonic Philip Marlowe, and it's fun watching him maneuver around the labyrinthine plot. I'm not certain I could mentally reconstruct all of the twists and turns of the mystery here, but the feel and tone of the movie are pretty much perfect throughout.
