a review of 鬼店另有主

If someone came up to me and said "You know, Ti actually made The Innkeepers before he made House of the Devil, but it didn't get released until two years after House due to [pick a reason]," I would absolutely believe them without questioning it. Only after they left would I start wondering why someone came up to me to tell me that; seems like a weird thing to do. Anyway, the last 30-ish minutes probably accounts for 2 of these 2.5 stars. The rest is sort of uneven and feels like a SpikeTV Original movie (or similar! pick your favorite mid-tier cable channel) (not that SpikeTV was my favorite). I suppose that could've been the desired aesthetic, but I wasn't sold on it. As it turns out, however, those last 30-ish minutes sort of rely on a good chunk of the first 110 to really have the impact it had. And so here we are. A stalemate. (what?)
