HOOPTOBER OCHO NIGHT ONE Starts off with some of the dragginess I've come to associate with Netflix Originals, where maybe we could have lost 3-5 minutes somewhere in Act 1 and not lost anything important. I'm not sure if the denouement and ending completely add up to pay off the lengthy setup, but the last 20 minutes or so are well-directed and show off some decent mythological design work that IMO probably could have been brought in just a hair earlier. The answer to the central mystery in the woods is appropriately mystifying in its own right, but it doesn't quite reward the viewer enough to be totally satisfying.
