2022 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 25: JOHN CARRADINE WEEK + Podcast Macabre 2022 Horror Challenge Category 12: From the 1940s you have not seen before Not a bad little noir, elevated mainly by Carradine's performance as the murderous puppeteer/painter. The print I watched on Tubi was definitely not ideal, with the details in night scenes sometimes fully obscured in black, and the dialogue occasionally difficult to parse due to fuzzy audio. I'd like to track down a better print (if one exists?) but as it is the story is pretty bare-bones, with only a few characters and relationships to keep track of.
