a review of 欲血威尼斯

I could probably be talked up to a 3.5, but I'm going to stick with a 3 for now. I found a lot of this actually quite charming. I was fully onboard with Plummer's mission, Pleasence's near-constant eating was a fun choice, the tin-can-in-a-tunnel ADR was amusing, I loved the animal foley work (bargain bin Michael Winslow doing bird noises, endless barking dogs in scenes where there are simply no dogs), and there are some truly beautiful shots of Venice (you sure do see a lot of the streets and canals). I also found myself pretty engrossed in the carnival, flamenco dancing, and seance scenes. So I don't know! Maybe a 3.5 really is where I'm at on this.
