I saw this in a colorized version but not in 3-D, which I think would have elevated the entertainment value. There are aliens, but not really scary ones who just want to go back to their homes in Outer Space, not conquer the planet or anything. Unfortunately they came visiting right in the middle of this country's Red Scare which threw all sorts of things off.
