Abar, the First Black Superman - 评论

2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 27: BLAXPLOITATION WEEK It's interesting to note that this movie takes more of a slice-of-life social-issues drama approach (a middle-class Black family being menaced by their new white middle-class neighbors) than anything resembling the ingrained idea of a Blaxploitation film, in spite of the realities of its production and eventual release. The superhero aspect is practically a late third-act plot twist, with a resolution that is both surprisingly radical and strangely wholesome at the same time.
