2022 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 10: LUCIO FULCI WEEK + PODCAST MACABRE 2022 HORROR CHALLENGE #8: WRITTEN AND/OR DIRECTED BY LUCIO FULCI This one felt maybe just a little bit too gross to really be an enjoyable watch, but I appreciate Fulci's sense of the absurd (the duck voiced killer?) as well as his maximalist approach to gory effects. I wish that the more sexualized violence was maybe about 25% more abstract than the fairly literal (and arguably quite misogynistic) way it's deployed here, and that's the main thing keeping me from giving this more than a conditional thumbs-up.
