a review of 吃人爸妈

Blue Velvet meets The Shining meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The sense of dread, the childhood mistrust, and the suburban whitewashing is just done so well. Some of the droning creeping around gets a little repetitive, but the dream sequences are so great. The dream with arm in the garbage disposal. The set design is just awesome and makes me want more mid century modern decor. There is some dark comedy that comes from the editing like when cuts of meat line up with the curves of a car.
