MANNVANUARY DEUX #20: I was expecting this one to be a bit more out-there in terms of violent content based on its reputation, so I'll admit I sort of got lulled into a false sense of safety when Pearce's character finally encounters his brother (Danny Huston) and at least for a time the latter seems vaguely reasonable, if not entirely "civilized" by the standards of the English authorities. The turn things take going into that horrific climax makes me want to rewatch the movie again with full knowledge of how it plays out.
