a review of 玉面情魔

I kind of wish that I'd seen this one before the GDT remake, or perhaps at a time when it was less fresh in my memory. I appreciate how the remake has such fidelity to the source material, aside from some avoidance of the religious concepts the original uses when talking about the spiritualist trade, but it also robbed the original of a lot of its shock when viewed so soon afterwards. I put it at about the same level, even if GDT added a lot of visual flair to the source material.
