The first half of the movie seemed not that interesting (except for the geese), but things picked right up when the three Brits managed to land their spacecraft on the moon. It spends way too long with little plot points that don't make any damn difference by the end. Apparently the moon is only about a half acre in area because they landed in the same damn spot as the 20th century explorers landed decades later, and right on top of the subterranean Selenite inhabitants. The natives certainly seemed within their rights to defend themselves against these savage interlopers and even settled down to a philosophical conversation towards the end, but it does not turn out very well for them. The special effects and the fantastic sets were pretty spectacular as was the moon grub the size of a subway train, which I did enjoy.
