#88 (March 29/31) I've said it before and I'll say it again: The unreleased/widely-bootlegged 1994 Fantastic Four movie isn't a great movie, but it's still the best film adaptation of the series (other than Pixar's "The Incredibles") that we've gotten to date. And with that in mind, it was honestly refreshing to see that most everyone involved with the making of the movie seems to recall it very fondly. I'd half expected to hear stories about how the movie was a train wreck from start to finish, but instead it sounds like it was an amazing passion project, with director Oley Sassone and his actors relishing the chance to make something out of basically nothing. This film feels cut from very similar cloth as another low-budget/guerrilla cinema documentary, "Raiders!", about a bunch of kids who made their own full-length adaptation of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" over several years in the '80s, and would make an excellent double feature.
