HOOPTOBER OCHO NIGHT TWENTY-FIVE I enjoyed this one, and appreciate the perspective that a First Nations filmmaker brought to the story, and how that reframes the basic zombie-survival premise into something that is subtly different than what we might be used to. It doesn't radically depart from your basic zombie tropes, but in how it has the characters respond to them, which is an interesting change of pace. I think it occasionally goes a bridge too far in trying to shock the audience (in a scene that recalls the similarly 2-edgy-5-me DEADGIRL) but I like the overall plot and character dynamics.
