2020 Cult Movie Challenge Week 4: Lucio Fulci Week It certainly takes its time to really get going, but the zombie makeups and gore effects are quite effective for their crudeness, and the fiery run-and-gun climax feels like it might be the secret origin of the Resident Evil game franchise. There's a scene at about the half hour mark with a nearly-naked scuba diver, an underwater zombie, and an actual live shark that must have been a logistical nightmare to film, and for that I have to give the filmmakers some respect for going the extra mile.
