1st Annual Criterion Challenge Week 44: Any film on Criterion Channel This one feels like Lanthimos is still finding his instrument. I never quite figured out the metaphor here, or if there even was one beyond the obvious director/cameraman/actor relationship among the three leads. Ultimately, I think Lanthimos works best when he clearly draws the lines of power in his characters' relationships, and here things felt maybe a little too undefined.
