2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 6: BRUCESPLOITATION WEEK MOVIE #1: A pretty run-of-the-mill martial arts pic that's livened up somewhat by the premise ("Bruce Lee" fighting alongside a rogue's gallery of movie heroes & villains in the afterlife) but stumbles in the execution. The actors seem to have only a vague concept of the famous characters they're playing (with the exception of the guy playing Popeye, who is marvelous) and the bargain-bin costumes and poor dubbing doesn't do anybody any favors. The actor playing "Bruce" makes basically no effort to look or act like Bruce Lee, which makes me wonder if this was actually shot as a Brucesploitation film or was simply turned into one for the English dub.
