a review of 黑社会2：以和为贵

2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 12: CATEGORY III WEEK This is another one (like last week's Police Story 2) where I feel like it might have been better served as a subsequent watch a few weeks later, rather than trying to view it as the back half of a double feature with the original film. I appreciate what this one is trying to do with regards to complicating some of the characters from the first film, but on another level it does feel a little samey, especially with regards to how little time passed between them. In some ways I think it might have been more effective if we'd seen a few more years pass for the characters, but as it is I found this one pretty enjoyable as a back-stabby gangster flick.
