HOOPTOBER ONE NIGHT THIRTY-ONE: + PODCAST MACABRE 2022 HORROR CHALLENGE #48: WRITTEN AND/OR DIRECTED BY A PERSON OF COLOR Although I remember thinking at the time that the mid '90s gangsta-rap inspired packaging was a little questionable, the actual movie itself is pretty much a good old-fashioned '90s horror romp, and is the rare anthology flick that doesn't slightly overstay its welcome. Clarence Williams III makes a terrific classic-style horror host, and the individual segments strike a good mix between Twilight-Zone style morality plays and kooky (but not too gross) gore FX.
