𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖕𝖙𝖔𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖝 𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖙𝖜𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖞-𝖔𝖓𝖊: It is kinda interesting how 34 years managed to transform a fairly uneven but enjoyable B- satire of the '80s Satanic panic into a solidly B+ QAnon satire. I will say that the ending seems slightly miscalculated, with Hanks giving a big concluding speech that's like something out of a Twilight Zone episode, which then gets immediately undercut by the final twist of the film. It feels like a studio note intended to soften the darkness/subversiveness of the ending, just so audiences wouldn't go home hating Tom Hanks.
