2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 23: THE ASYLUM WEEK Although I admittedly have a weak spot for Terminator ripoffs, this one just didn't measure up. And really, if they'd stuck to emulating the first Cameron film with cheap practical FX and makeups (with maybe a little digital sweetening in post) instead of wasting money on awful-looking spaceship effects, it could have been a pretty passable (albeit possibly more legally actionable?) knockoff instead of what it ended up being.
