Hooptober Night Twenty-nine: I found this one pretty uneven and underwhelming in its execution. The Richard Matheson script is clearly reaching for a Sunset Blvd.-like portrait of out-of-touch rich people in decline, and I can definitely see it existing in a similar cultural moment as the early Giallo films being made around the same time. But ultimately this one was maybe a little bit too restrained to really hold my interest, even as a psychedelic-era camp artifact.
