HOOPTOBER 3.0 NIGHT TWENTY-NINE: Feels like a decent hybrid of a standard '70s detective whodunit and a giallo thriller, Karl Malden and James Franciscus make a fine pair of "odd couple" sleuths. There's a few details (especially towards the end) that keep it from being an entirely cozy murder mystery, to the point that I actively dislike the ending they chose for this particular film, even though it's the sort of ending that wouldn't seem out of place in any other Argento film.
