2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 6: BRUCESPLOITATION WEEK MOVIE #2: The way this movie escalates its Brucesploitation premise to the point of ridiculousness with a team of three Bruce Lee impersonators (who are all past Brucesploitation stars, and do a pretty good job of emulating Lee's physicality if not his actual presence) feels like a wink to the audience that makes it OK in a way maybe some of the earlier films in the genre weren't. The filmmakers aren't trying to put anything over on us here, and I can tell that they're having some fun with it with the goofy comic-book staging and crazily telegraphed plot twists. They know they're not making a real Bruce Lee picture, but portraying the myth as well as can be expected on a shoestring exploitation budget.
