a review of 好莱坞电锯妓女

HOOPTOBER ONE NIGHT ONE + 2022 PODCAST MACABRE HORROR CHALLENGE #40: FEATURING LINNEA QUIGLEY Starting off with a fairly lightweight one, maybe one of Fred Olen Ray's most blatant T&A horror comedies. Kind of a nonsensical noir parody with a private eye character doing overwritten hard-boiled narration, multiple fetishistic scenes of nude women getting fake blood splashed on their breasts, and Gunnar Hansen once again doing a glorified cameo that dines out on the legacy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Although the violence in this movie is pretty tame (all of the gore is offscreen or implied) and none of it is specifically directed at women, I kind of groaned at the dumb misogyny of the main character and wondered what the movie would have been like if it had focused a little more on Linnea Quigley's character instead.
