HOOPTOBER 3.0 NIGHT EIGHT: A pretty wild tone-poem of a psychological horror/thriller where it's hard to tell how *intentional* the artistry is because it's the only feature that director Herk Harvey ever made. Feels like an absolutely formative influence on all kinds of directors who would emerge from the underground a decade or so later, from Romero to Lynch. There's a whole lot of B&W '60s horror that just doesn't do it for me, but this one is essential.
