#79 (March 20/31) I'd cracked into Italian horror a little while ago with Mario Bava's Black Sunday, and continuing that thread I decided to check out a pair of films made by his son Lamberto in the '80s. This one is some solid Euro-style horror with a nicely post-modern twist regarding a movie that turns people into demonic zombies. It's a bit of a shaggy dog story (the interlude with the coke-snorting punks doesn't really move anything along) but the denoument and ending really tie everything together in a satisfying way. I feel like I'd really missed something not seeing this one during my prime college horror-movie watching years, but I'm glad I got to see it now.
