This was mostly a dull slog in my opinion, with nothing very entertaining when it comes to acting, effects, music, plot, or suspense. When it was dialog-heavy it dragged, when there were action scenes on the Martian surface they were poorly thought through with grating sound effects. It's hard to imagine how they came up with a script without any sense that it was done by someone who knew their craft. The giant rubber creatures weren't awful looking, so I'm not going to give this my bottom rating, but I can't think of much else to praise here.
