a review of 蓝衣魔鬼

Breezy detective yarn with Denzel Washington as a laid off machinist tasked with tracking down a mysterious woman for powerful/unscrupulous men. Don Cheadle pops up midway through in a wild-card character role that adds some volatility to the mix, with Jennifer Beals as the titular femme fatale. Although I thought it all worked well enough, part of me wishes it was a full two hours and had maybe just a couple of extra plot swerves, both to add complexity to the mystery as well as to give us more time with the characters and the late '40s LA setting.
