2021 Cult Movie Challenge Week 18: '70s Disaster Week Speaking of ponderous '70s disaster movies, this is one of them. Although the premise, which piles on one disaster genre after another ("It's a plane crash movie!" "No, it's a shark attack movie!") makes it sound like a pretty wild watch, in practice it's about 40 minutes longer than it needs to be. The bare-bones script and direction, in combination with the offputting '70s Italian production values (particularly the dubbing/ADR) make it difficult to care about the survivors as individual characters instead of an undifferentiated crowd.
