2020 Cult Movie Challenge Week 22: Linnea Quigley Week Hands down, the most shocking thing in this entire movie is the revelation around 40 minutes in, that the tiny plastic prop pistols the characters have been waving around and pointing ineffectually for the whole movie are actually badass LAZOR GUNZ. Not badass enough to kill the monster, but genuinely surprising nonetheless. Linnea Quigley is the top billed actor in the film, but plays maybe the fourth most important character in the movie. She's not even the character that the movie sets up as the most sensible and survival worthy, a la Ripley. She's basically just there to get naked and act hysterical and scream, which is a shame. All in all, it plays like somebody wanted to make an Alien ripoff but didn't actually understand how and why anything in that movie worked.
