2022 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 35: KINJI FUKASAKU WEEK In spite of that familiar slow-cooked '70s disaster movie pacing and the unnecessarily long running time, I thought it was interesting to see a Japanese perspective on nuclear disarmament filtered through a western disaster movie format. I have questions about some of the gender politics at the 90 minute mark, but I thought this was in the top tier of '70s disaster movies that I've seen.
