A lovely, meticulous, beautifully shot (one for the "every frame a work of art" list) (I don't have a list for this) (maybe I should?) film. Did my eyes well up when that group of ladies started singing by the fire? Was I crying when Marianne left Heloise's house near the end? Yes, of course! (to both) And that last, lingering shot...as the French say, "magnifique!"
