a review of 黑暗时代

It's a little slow (even the jousting and sword-fighting veers toward dull), the production design runs the spectrum of "immaculate and filmic" to "made-for-TV", and the acting is at times over-the-top, but the fullness of what I believe the Arthurian legend to be is told here in such great detail that's quite commendable. The lighting and fog/smoke machine work gives this an ethereal look that truly enhanced a sense of magic existing in this world and I really quite enjoyed that.
