HOOPTOBER ONE NIGHT TWENTY-SEVEN: The most surprising thing about this movie, in comparison to the bulk of the giallo genre which it helped to spawn, is how light-hearted so much of it feels. From lead Leticia Román's mystery novel-inspired flights of fancy to the sheer outrageousness of the murder plot, at time the movie comes across as more of a murder-mystery spoof and Italian travelogue than even Bava's own later work from just a year or two later.
