With this and Prey, Trachtenberg is two for two on making great Predator movies with heart. (I'm aware of Killer of Killers but haven't watched it yet, so maybe he's three for three.) I wasn't expecting it to be as cross-over heavy as it is, but it works well for the story being told. I also wasn't expecting to get emotional multiple times, but here we are! Is this the Disneyfication of Predator? I don't know or care. If it's this good, does it matter? And now, a joke: The original title was going to be If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, but there was already a (much) different movie with that title coming out around the same time so they changed it.
