乐士浮生录 - 评论
The music is wonderful, of course, but the scenes of late 1990s Havana where we get to know some of the senior musicians of Cuban traditional dance music is equally attractive in my opinion. Watching it today reads as a historical document. Ry Cooder shows what happened when he brought them to New York and it was kind of sweet to see that place through their eyes. It doesn't try to be a deep dive into the history of the Afro-Cuban roots or of the political and economic conditions that made this place, but ultimately what makes sense to me is to see the love they have for their homeland and gratitude for a life spent making music with such genius.
