这张DVD真的足够叫平克迷喷血了，为Pink Floyd于1974年在庞贝古城现场录音记录片导演剪辑版，我rip的时候连同一个24分钟的导演访谈也做了。这个版本的庞贝古城现场为16:9画面制作，质素强过以前市面上任何VCD、DVD全屏幕版现场video，为诸位平克迷献上，与同好之人分享乃最大乐趣！片中珍贵画面太多，截图数量有限，未能反映乐队成员对录音与乐器技术的见解、导演对庞贝古城文化的刻画。另，最后一张截图为导演Adrian Maben。
Pink Floyd是一支以技术、创作思想和现场演出效果见长的迷幻摇滚乐队，演出场地的选择也成为他们艺术生涯中一个颇为引人注目的亮点，因此庞贝古城现场录音记录成为平克乐迷心目中的经典，蕴含了丰富的欧洲古典文化与骇人灾难的庞贝古城，与充满了现代艺术理念和科技手段的平克现场，在平克乐队经典音乐的连接下，古典与现代，感性与激情发生了激烈的碰撞与交流。
由于年代久远，录音有细微的杂讯，不过丝毫不能影响此视频的珍贵性，rip时内嵌了英文字幕，加上导演访问记录片配上英文字幕，我想更利于诸位对Pink选取庞贝古城这一现场进行录音的创意与意图，国内的包括台湾地区的摇滚节目制作对字幕的处理通常会弄巧成拙、辞不达义。就如这部记录片，诸多不负责任的网络、平面媒体编辑称之为“庞贝古城演唱会”，殊不知这其实是一部Pink Floyd结合古文明的现场录音创意记录片。还有人会把这部记录片与柏林墙演唱会放在一起，其实根本不具备可比性，当然又不知道多少人把Roger Waters柏林墙演唱会冠以“Pink Floyd柏林墙演唱会”了。个人认为，这部记录片应该和“Dark Side of the Moon”概念记录片属于一类，由乐队成员出演，表演和自然剪辑结合而亦不同于电影“Wall”由演员表演配合音乐的概念风格。

[原创]：[摇滚]Pink Floyd在庞贝古城的Live DVD ISO 1971年10月， 当时还正年轻的平克们在庞贝古城已经有两千多年历史的古罗马圆形剧场上，进行了一次没有现场观众的演出。 这次演出被制成电影于1972年的9月在爱丁堡音乐节上做了首映， 1974年开始在欧美各地全面上映， 反响不俗， 随后发行的录像带也成了市面上的长销品种。
今年的十月份， 经过长久的等待之后， 环球公司终于发行了这张名为Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii (Director's Cut)的DVD， 导演Adrian Maben将原先上映的一个小时的剧场版重新剪辑加料成了现在的这个一个半小时的导演剪辑版。原先全屏的剧场版被转换成了可变宽银幕的导演剪辑版，画质和音质也经过了全面的修复（遗憾的是仅有一条杜比2声道音轨多少显得美中不足），并同时收入了原来的剧场版以及导演访谈等众多花絮， 堪称是对全世界平克迷的一份大礼。值得一提的是， 这部DVD的设计也是由平克的御用封套设计者Storm Thorgerson精心打造的（他为平克设计的唱片封套几乎个个都称得上是艺术品）。
当时的平克已经摆脱了SYD BARRET离去后的阵痛， 接连几张成功的专辑，，使他们的事业蒸蒸日上， 也为后来那张旷世绝伦的做了完美的铺垫。 这个现场里面的歌曲也基本都来自上述几张专辑以及即将发行的那张， 并收入了一首从未发行过的歌曲“Mademoiselle Nobs”， 导演剪辑版中更是增加了第二年他们在伦敦埃比路（ABBEY ROAD）录音室录制DARK SIDE OF THE MOON专辑时的珍贵镜头

这张DVD发行之后, 这个导演剪辑版引起了不小的非议, 很多歌迷认为导演加入的大量诸如飞船,卫星,地铁和很多现在的庞贝的镜头(甚至还有一大段假想中当年繁荣的庞贝的CG)是对这部伟大现场的破坏, 与其强加给观者这些个人色彩很浓的感受, 还不如像原始版本那样留给大家更多自己体会的空间.还好这张DVD里同样收入了原来的剧场版, 连着看完导演剪辑版和原始版本之后, 我也觉得还是更喜欢原来的剧场版(更纯粹的一种音乐享受). 不过导演版里多出来的那些录制'月缺'的段落和其他的精彩访谈也是弥足珍贵(我觉得那段在巴黎时乐队成员和导演之间的互相打趣尤其有意思). 究竟哪个版本更好大家可以自己去比较比较看.

简评：记录平克·弗洛伊德乐队在1971年的意大利庞贝古城圆形剧场演出的音乐纪录片，作为这个伟大乐队的历史见证，这部纪录片显得十分珍贵。此前曾出过韩国三区的D5版，这个英二版D9的容量其实也只有6.52G，除了91分钟的正片外，还有24分钟导演访谈等花絮，正片和花絮的中文翻译都很不错。金色磨码片基，在ROM上读片流畅。
