The critical first 2–4 episodes in any TV series was slow for this adaptation. They appeared to have followed the original novel's first few chapters instead of adjusting that is fit for a screen adaptation.
Other than that, it has a good story. It starts to pick up in E05. By E06, the pacing increased. It will have 32 episodes so before considering on dropping it just because of the first 4 episodes, instead consider watching up to 8 episodes (¼ of the season).

It is actually a good series, I don't know why people are saying otherwise. I guess those who rated it low are not familiar with watching comic-style live-action, it was after all based on a highly-popular manga «Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler».
On 2025-06-24, it was announced that Season 02 has been greenlit.

I hope this was only the first of many seasons and/or franchise. There are a lot of stories to tell from the perspective of the hoteliers and humanity. I am very curious about the galaxtic community too. However, it should be lite and fun as well, that's the format that hooked me, so they shouldn't change it. If they want to change it, a spin-off is a better choice, one that's deeply tied-in to this original season/series.

It was a lite anime with a fun story. A very good opening sequence and theme too! I'll miss the crew. I hope they follow up with a new season, or at least a spin-off. I'm curious about humanity and the rest of the galaxy. 😁

It was too good I wish they added another case or two (1 episode each, simple cases but very common and important, like office and sales cases). They created a show that is fit to be a channel to express and expose the issues in labour, which is common in many countries.
