"Our" crows asking for some morsels. I observed many times that the larger male asks for food, then flies up to a tree and calls the smaller one to come and eat, often enough everything. Robin in a holly bush is a hand painted watercolour painting in landscape format painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. A robin sits on a branch in a holly bush and looks to the right. It is surrounded by green leaves and red berries. The background is painted with loose brushstrokes in different shades of green, which form a strong colour contrast to the red winter berries of the bush and the red-orange breast feathers of the bird. The Ilex is also called Holly or Christmas Holly. The evergreen branches with the red fruits are often used for Christmas decorations.
The painting is also available in a square format and cropped to portrait format in my shop. Choose for yourself which format fits best in your rooms.
Here I added the text Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as Christmas card design for your seasonal greetings.

I was woken this morning by two kookaburras making a racket down the side passage. Turns out their beaks were stuck together (!)While they scrambled and fought, trying to pull apart, a currawong sat on the fence commentating the life-or-death struggle.After my sleepy brain had made sense of what the bloody hell was going on, I fetched some gloves and gently prised them apart. They both flew off in high dudgeon. Birds in a Winter Forest is a handmade paper collage by artist Karen Kaspar.
In a snowy winter landscape in soft blue tones, three bright red birds sit on bare branches of tall, slender tree trunks that stand out in dark brown against the light winter background. Large white snowflakes are falling.
The tree trunks and branches were painted on paper with acrylic paint and then mounted as a collage on the watercolor background and combined with the watercolor birds.

Birds in a spring forest is a handmade paper collage in portrait format by artist Karen Kaspar.
