Streetartwall. A cheerful, colorful and huge mural (8x20m) with lots of little cartoon dogs and balloons was sprayed on the outside wall of a five-story modern building. The main character is a white dog with black ears, one small and one large eye and two small teeth. He flies across the wall in a pink heart with lots of colorful balloons above him. Some of the balloons have animal faces and other smaller dogs are peeking out from between them. In the lower area, an infinite number of these small, drawn dogs cavort on top of each other and in a jumble between houses. In between are small texts such as "Love is in the Air", Zurich, Nature etc. The whole thing is complemented by a bright blue sky and half a rising sun. Heartily cheerful.

Streetwall. A wonderful mural with three comic book characters was sprayed/painted on an interior wall in an abandoned building of an old military base. Two human-looking dogs and a cat stand in front of a blue city skyline with skyscrapers and a train at night. On the right, a St. Bernard stands casually in a green raincoat, white sweater and brown trousers. On the left is a dog in a beige hooded anorak looking in a different direction. In the middle stands a very cute cat (looking straight at us) wearing sunglasses, black jeans and his hands casually clasped in a gray hoodie. His little ears are peeking out of the hood. Very cool, but also cute.
Info: The old huge military station was transformed by artists into an illegal art exhibition with an endless number of invited artists. Some barracks are still standing, there is a lot of dust and some barn owls. The name is "Indafriche" and the visit is at own risk and for insiders only.

Report from the Amsterdam protest: there are a few hundred people here and two uniformed Dutch cops at a respectful distance very casually chatting with each other while they wait for nothing to hurry up and happen.

A lot of people are tourists (American or otherwise) who happened to see the protest because the US consulate is between several museums. They’re all like “hell yeah I’m stopping for this.” Passing bikes ring their bells (some of them might even be in support and not because Americans are standing on the bike path). I don’t know where someone in Amsterdam found an enormous California bear flag on such short notice

And yes, everyone loves Odin, who randomly decided to put his paws up on my shoulders when we were very visible to the crowd
