In addition to being delightfully funny, she opens up some of the most insightful and introspective conversations I've seen on Mastodon and I feel like I’m always learning something from her and I imagine it will be the same for you.

I just realized that @RickiTarr has a little over 9,800 followers which is SO close to 10,000.
I know pretty much everyone on Mastodon is already following her because she is the absolute best, but I'm hoping we can find 200 new followers to get her to 10K because I really like multiples of five and 10K is a lovely number.

As I'm trying to use Mastodon a bit more again, taking recommendations for people to follow. My interests:
* tech (Linux, open source, public policy)
* music (jazz, afrobeat, fuji, hip hop, techno, house, footwork/juke... really a bit of anything)
* politics (left)
EDIT: I appreciate the nice advice from folks about other methods of discovery, but I'm not new to Mastodon by any means. If you haven't any direct recs, feel free to scroll past :)
